Murton Equestrian Centre is a 5 star licensed riding centre. We are Approved with the BHS and ABRS and The Pony Club. We are a family run riding centre in Tyne & Wear, owned by Derek & Leigh Belbin. We pride ourselves in offering quality riding lessons in a safe and relaxed environment, for adults and children over 4yrs. Situated a short drive from Whitley Bay and Newcastle Upon Tyne, we have ample parking and are perfectly placed for local transport links. We have a wide range of well-schooled and well mannered horses and ponies to ride, catering for all ages, abilities and standards. We have a large indoor arena 25m x 40m which has a spacious viewing gallery. We also have an outdoor arena 26m x 42m, and a level show jumping paddock. Our facilities allow us to offer all year round riding. Our centre is a highly commended riding facility centre with the British Horse Society. Plus an on site shop which stocks all rider wear and essentials for the horse owner. Call in and browse our shop. As well as offering riding lessons, we are also one of the only riding schools in Tyne & Wear where pupils can also follow a comprehensive examination system with the Pony Club, ABRS or BHS. We run exciting themed activities in the school holidays and offer pony petting sessions to 2yrs to 4yrs. We also hire the indoor and outdoor arena for riding or dog walking. We have a handful of full livery stables also. Our professional, friendly staff are always happy to help. They are all fully trained to offer riding instruction at all levels, including BHS stages. We are a BHS approved livery centre and provide quality stabling and facilities catering for individual needs.

On completion of the level 2 apprenticeship an opportunity to proceed to level 3 apprenticeship could be available. We like our apprentices to stay with us and there will be a possibility to enter full time employment with our team.
