This course is for those that are interested in working on light vehicles and gaining a qualification that could lead to an apprenticeship.
You will study units including mechanical and electrical systems and learn how to diagnose faulty components. Ideal if you would like to train for a career in the motor industry.
You should have two GCSEs at Grade 3 or above or a relevant Level 1 qualification.

Your progress will be assessed by observations of your practical skills and will take place within the college workshops. Each unit of the qualification requires you to pass a multiple choice online assessment test.
English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
