You do not need any official qualifications. You will need to complete an assessment to confirm your strengths and areas of improvements when you start the course.
This course is free of charge for anyone 19+ who does not hold this qualification or GCSE grade E/2 or above.

After developing your reading, writing and speaking and listening skills in the classroom, you will complete the following assessments:
- A speaking, listening and communication assessment with a teacher
- A paper-based or online writing assessment
- A paper-based or online reading assessment
