The teaching and support staff team work with the learners in safe, nurturing and supported classroom and practical environments. The tutors and support staff work with the students to develop personal strategies to enable students to build and develop existing personal and social skills.
You will increase your independence and social skills, develop self-awareness, confidence and learn to make informed choices. You will develop your team working and communication skills whilst working to gain nationally recognised accreditations at Entry Level 2 and Entry Level 3 in Skills for Working Life which will include; Enterprise activities, budgeting, solving problems, personal presentation and safety, healthy living, effective communication and promoting independent living skills.
There is no requirement for any formal qualification, all you need is commitment and desire to achieve more.

You will be assessed through a combination of continual formal and informal assessments and in providing a portfolio. This is evidence that you can do the tasks involved and your tutor will help you with this.
You will develop maths and English skills through accredited qualifications.
This is a 5 days a week course and designed for students who have an EHCP, ASC, moderate and or mild learning difficulties, working at a minimum of Entry Level 2 and Entry Level 3.
Learning opportunities are developed within Kirkley Hall campus, using a variety of practical activities and classroom based sessions including use of the wider community.
You will study topics such as horticulture, enterprise projects and animal care with taster event days in mechanics, catering, carpentry Hair and beauty.
Following successful completion of this course you will be able to make application to our Level 1 courses, voluntary work or supported employment.
