The Level 1 Brickwork course is designed for those interested in brickwork. The course is the first step to gain experience in the brickwork trade. You will benefit from our strong employer links, which open the door to work experience opportunities, industry visits and professional mentoring.
Our courses combine hands-on training, the highest industry standards, and employability skills to give you a real head start in your career. We provide superb, purpose-built facilities with generous space for practical construction in our brick workshop.
Our expert staff have vast experience, as well as great contacts across the industry. You will develop the skills and knowledge you need to enter the bricklaying trade within the construction industry. Covering both practical and theoretical aspects of the trade, this course offers an ideal introduction to the sector and gives you the opportunity to progress to higher levels.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required to enrol on this course.

The course is a combination of both theory and practical units.
Spread over one year, your progress will be assessed through practical tests and knowledge assignments throughout the course as your skills and knowledge develop.
You are required to have completed Maths and English at GCSE grade 4/C.
There are no placement requirements at Level 1, however, you will engage in work readiness.
Master classess and guest speakers will be invited in throughout the year to introduce you to industry.
The course runs Monday-Friday. Timetables will be confirmed at the start of term.

After successfully completing the course you could progress onto a Level 2 Diploma in Brickwork which will further enhance your skills and knowledge
