This course is designed for those interested in a career in the construction industry. The course is the first step to gain experience in the brickwork trade. You will benefit from our strong employer links, which will open the door to work experience opportunities, industry visits and professional mentoring.
Our courses combine hands-on training, the highest industry standards and employability skills to give you a real head start in your career. We provide superb purpose-built facilities with generous space for practical construction in our new brick workshop.
Our expert staff have expert experience as well as great contacts across the industry. You will develop the skills and knowledge you need to enter the bricklaying trade within the construction industry. Covering both practical and theoretical aspects of the trade, this course offers an ideal introduction to the sector and gives you the opportunity to progress to higher levels.

The course is a combination of both theory and practical units. spread over one year ,Your progress will be assessed through practical tests and knowledge assignments throughout the course as your skills and knowledge develops.
You are required to complete maths and English upto level 4.
There are no placement requirements at level 1, however you will engage in work readiness.
Master classess and guest speakers will be invited in throughout the year to introduce you to industry.
Monday to Friday, timetables will be confirmed at the start of term.
