This course is for anyone who has a genuine interest in the hairdressing sector and would like to gain the skills required to work in the industry.

This qualification covers all core skills you will need to progress to further learning and training, or to enter the world within the hairdressing industries.
Units in which will be covered are;
- Working in the hair and beauty sector
- Follow Health and Safety
- Client consultation
- Shampoo and condition
- Promote products and services
- Cut women's hair
- Colour and lighten hair
- Perm and neutralise
- The art of dressing hair
- Create an image based on a theme within hair and beauty sector
- Reception duties
Work will be assessor on theory and practical assessments throughout the duration of the year.
English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your career and progress to your dream passage. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills and achieve this.
Structured work-experience is essential for this qualification, this practical training is ideal for gaining employment in the hairdressing industry. Placements must be carried out outside of time table and is your responsibility to ensure this is completed throughput the duration of the course.

This level two hairdressing aims to provide you with a range of essential and practical skills and knowledge, which will help you to seek employment or further training within the hairdressing industry.
Following the successful completion of this qualification you will be qualified to work within a number of employment destinations, this qualification is suitable for anyone over the age of 16 years. You don't need any previous knowledge or experience to start this qualification.
Following successfully completing of this qualification will allow you to progress onto level 3 or gain employment
