The TQUK Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Working with and Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities is an ideal starting point if you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individual with learning disabilities. This course will be assessed through the completion of a variety of tasks and assignments.
There will be no external examinations for this course.
Although there are no requirements for this course, a basic level of English and Maths is needed to support individuals with their learning.
We work with a range of employers and industry experts including local schools, early years providers, NHS and care organisations to ensure that our courses support opportunities for progression and skills needs within the sectors.
You would be expected to complete this course within 12 weeks.
Delivery will take place on Tuesday evenings 5.30 – 8.30pm from 8th April
The purpose of this qualification is to develop learners knowledge, skills and understanding required to work with and support those with learning disabilities. The qualification covers safeguarding, principles of learning disabilities, promotion of positive risk taking, and general support required to work with individuals with learning disabilities.
This qualification is suitable for those who wish to expand their knowledge, and for those who are, or wish to work in, health and social settings with a focus on individuals with learning disabilities. This qualification may also be of interest to those who work in the education sector or supporting roles, such as teaching assistants or pastoral care managers.
