The Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma (720 )in Equine Management is a qualification aimed at providing individuals with a range of practical skills and knowledge aimed at preparing you for employment or progression into further training within the equine industry.
The recommended entry requirements are a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (which would ideally include Maths and English), or equivalent GNVQ/BTEC qualifications.
Direct entry (2 yr course) can also be gained through achieving a relevant National. Applicants will be required to undertake a practical riding assessment.

Progress is assessed by a range of methods, which include practical assessments, observations, written assignments and tests. 1:1 progress reviews ensure that students remain motivated and continue to work to their full potential.
English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/or English, we will support you to improve your skills.
The course runs for 3 days per week.
You will need to successfully complete year 1 modules (see Level 3 Advanced Technical Certificate in Equine management) plus a theory exam, a biological systems of the horse exam and a synoptic assessment, as well as contributing to managing an equine event.
City and Guilds
The diploma has been developed to equip learners to go directly into employment or progress to further training.
You might progress into work such as an assistant manager (competition yards), assistant manager (riding school), competition groom, equine nutritionist, assistant stud manager or a junior instructor.
The Diploma also gives you points for entry into Higher Education and a range of programmes such as an Equine Studies Foundation Degree, a BSc (Hons) in Equine Studies or a BSc (Hons) in Sports Psychology.
