This qualification aims to provide you with the specialist knowledge, skills and understanding relating to the uniformed services in areas such as leadership skills, physical fitness and equality, diversity and inclusion, which can be applied to current or future employment in a variety of roles.
The content has been developed with employers, subject experts and tutors to ensure that it’s relevant to the real world and meets the need of employers.
You should have four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, or a relevant Level 2 qualification, ideally including Maths and/or English.

Your progress will be assessed by a range of methods, including practical assessments/observations, discussions, written reports, presentations, projects, leaflets/posters, etc.
The course is 100% coursework based, so there will be no exams/tests.

If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
Mon-Fri between 9am-4:15pm. The course will take place over 3-4 days per week. Timetables are confirmed at the start of term.
This course is suitable for those that wish to pursue a career in the Uniformed Public Services. The qualification is particularly appropriate if you have an interest in progressing to a career in the emergency services or the miltary.

You’ll complete 4 mandatory units then choose 14 optional units to complete, depending on your personal interest or career aspirations.
