This two year course aims to enhance your skills, knowledge and understanding of the sports, fitness and leisure industry. You willl study a range of modules, such as sports injuries, analysis of sports performance, fitness testing and sports coaching.
We also have excellent vocational and employer links within the community so you can undertake work experience to gain vital skills and behaviours for the world of work. Employers we work closely with include CIMSPA, Pure Gym, Newcastle Foundation and Ashington and Coquet School Games.
You will need 5 GCSE's at grade 4-9 including Maths and English.

You can study over one or two years. There is a mix of theory and practical assessment in the classroom, leisure centre and gym facilities.
Students will create a portfolio of evidence that is internally assessed and externally quality assured.
