This course is for anyone who would like to improve their level of English skills.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you may benefit from achieving a Level 1 in Functional Skills.
This course is free of charge for anyone 19+ who does not hold this qualification or GCSE grade C/4 or above.

After developing your reading, writing and speaking and listening skills in the classroom, you will complete the following assessments:
- A speaking, listening and communication assessment with a teacher
- A paper-based or online writing assessment
- A paper-based or online reading assessment
During this course you will learn:
- Inferential comprehension
- Styles of writing
- Writing for purpose
