Your progress will be assessed through practical and knowledge assignments throughout the course as your skills and knowledge develops. Your Maths and English skills will be assessed through a controlled assessment or final exam.

The course is for anyone who has an interest in the construction industry who would like to develop their skills and knowledge to become a bricklayer qualified to a level 2 diploma standard.

You will learn thin joint masonry cladding, solid walling, cavity walling and both isolated and attached piers. Units will also cover safe working practices, contributing to setting out and several other bricklaying skills.

What’s next?

Upon completing this course, students are well-placed to advance their studies with a Level 3 qualification, broadening their expertise and enhancing employability. Alternatively, enter the workforce, ready to take on roles in construction firms or explore entrepreneurial opportunities by starting their own bricklaying business.
