What’s it all about?

Our Seasonal Gardener: Summer programme is a practical, beginner-friendly course designed for adults in the UK who want to gain confidence in gardening throughout the summer months.

Whether you have a small garden, an allotment, raised beds, containers, or are just getting started, this course will teach you what to do, when to do it, and why it matters.

The course follows the natural rhythm of the gardening year. Each season focuses on the essential tasks that keep a garden healthy, productive, and enjoyable, helping learners develop skills through hands-on practice.

By the end of the course, participants will understand the basic principles of gardening, recognise common UK plants and growing conditions, confidently, and create a simple seasonal maintenance plan for their own outdoor space.
