You will be taught using a range of teaching techniques, including classroom and workshop activities.

You will be assessed through a range of assignments, exams and practical activities.

English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career.

You are required to have achieved a minimum grade 5 in English and Maths to enrol onto this course.

You will study 18.5 hours per week in college and will be expected to take some time outside of college to complete assignments.

Minimum number of guided learning of 720 Hours.

This course will take place Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm. Timetables will be issued at the start of term.

The BTEC Level 3 Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is a one year full-time course designed to support school leavers wishing to further their development as engineers. The course leads towards both higher education and a highly rewarding, well-paid career within the engineering sector.

You will study a several modules when studying this course including:

- Health and Safety
- Communications for Engineering Technicians
- Mathematics for Engineering Technicians
- Mechanical Principles of Engineering Systems
- Engineering Drawing for Technicians
- Principles and Applications of Electronics
- Secondary Machining Processes
- Mechanical Measurement
- Electrical and Electronic Principles

What’s next?

You could progress to an HNC or HND with us or go on to a university of your choice to study engineering.

Alternatively, you could progress straight into industry and gain a job within the engineering sector, or you could progress onto and apprenticeship.
