This is an introductory course for the land based sector and would be ideal for learners with no formal qualifications. The course covers Agriculture, Conservation and Horticulture.

The course is a mixture of practical and theory that allows assessment through externally set assignments, a multiple choice online test and portfolio evidence.
English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
We have extensive resources on campus including a working farm, extensive woodland and formal gardens.
This course will take place Monday – Friday between 9am and 5pm. Timetables will be issued at the start of term.

Opportunities are available to progress onto a Level 2 course in Agriculture or Horticulture at Northumberland College.
