There are no formal entry requirements for learners taking this qualification. A keen interest in floristry and a committed work ethic is necessary.
The course is a mixture of practical and theory based-learning.
You will be taught using a range of techniques, including:

English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.

The aim of this course is to provide an introduction to the floristry sector for learners with little or no formal qualifications.
In order to complete the certificate, there a rangeof modules to complete, including one mandatory unit and three optional units.

- Carrying out basic floristry tasks
- Producing planted designs
- Assembling basic floral designs

On completion of this course, you could progress to study a Level 2 Certificate in Floristry, or study a Level 2 course in another land-based subject.
