This qualification covers all the core skills you will need to progress to further learning and training, or enter into the industry.
You will study a number of units which are broken down into theory and practical assessments building your skills ready for the next steps you wish to take.
Within this qualification you will be required to have work-experience within the area you would like to work in.
English and Maths are essential life skills that will help you to achieve your finest goals inside the main study programme and help you to progress to your dream job.
If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to develop your skills in order to achieve these imperative qualification.
The course is full time and will take one year to complete, within this time you will cover main programme of study, Maths & English if you do not already have a grade 4 or above and tutorial.
Along this course you are also required to complete a work placement which should take place on a day you do not already attend college.
The level one introduction to the hair and beauty sector aims to provide you with the essential practical and knowledge skills to enter into industry and further your skills within the hair and beauty sector.
Following the successful completion of this qualification you can go onto a level two within the hair or beauty or find employment.
This qualification is suitable for anyone over the age of 16 years and you don't need any previous knowledge or experience.

Your next steps from this course is a level two within hair or beauty which would be a full time course again and take one year to complete.
Other options could be an app/ship working in a hair or beauty salon full time and attending college one day a week this course runs over a two year period.
