What’s it all about?

The Progression to T Level programme is designed to support you to gain the entry requirements to progress towards a T Level in health, education or childcare.

The study programme is made up of skills sessions, tutorials, work placement, and Maths and English GCSE (if required).

You will work alongside the T level groups and learn from industry experts and guest speakers.

19+ please enquire You will need to provide your own stationery and you will be given the opportunity to take part in trips and visits. There is an expectation our Health and Social care students will wear college kit when on placement / practicing skills. You may be entitled to support with this, please ask for further details.

If you do not have maths and English to grade 4 this will be part of your study programme.

Industry placement is a required element of the programme to support you to develop the key skills and attributes required in industry. You will be supported by a Skills Development Coach.

We work in close partnership with many of the North East's leading health and social care employers to ensure our students get the best opportunities to progress in their future career path.

Some of our employer partners offer a guaranteed interview with their organisation to students who complete their programme of study.

Employer partners include Northumberland NHS Trust.

The aim of this course is to support you to develop the essential skills, knowledge and behaviours to prepare you to successfully progress to either our T Level Health (Adult Nursing) or our T Level Education and Childcare (Early Years Educator) course.

You will have the opportunity to explore careers and options for progression, work with the T level students and teams, develop digital and science skills, and learn from guest speakers and industry experts.

You will study a range of modules aligned to your chosen career and T level route including:

- Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care
- Human growth and development
- Safeguarding and protection in health and social care
- Communication in health and social care

You will also develop essential digital skills to support your progression to Level 3.

What’s next?

On successful completion of this course, you could progress directly to our T Level programmes in Health (Adult Nursing) or Early Years Education.
