Your progress will be assessed through practical and knowledge assignments throughout the course, as your skills and knowledge develops.
English and Math's are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved a grade 9-4 in GCSE Math's and/or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
You will be required to complete a construction industrial placement during the course. The number of hours you will be required to work will depend on your need for to study English or Maths.
This course is full-time over a period of one year.
The course is for anyone who has completed the Level 2 Brickwork Diploma and would like to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviors to become a bricklayer, qualified to a Level 3 Diploma standard.
You will learn the following modules:
- Thin joint masonry cladding
- Solid walling
- Cavity walling
- Isolated and attached piers
Units will also cover safe working practices, contributing to setting out and several other bricklaying skills.
City and Guilds
You could progress to a full-time apprenticeship or on to a higher level site managers qualification. Alternatively, you could progress into employment in the construction industry.
