This course is for people who are looking to progress onto employment in the IT industry or into Higher Education.
Entry requirements include 5 GCSE at 9-5 (A*-C) including IT and/or merit at BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in IT.
After completion of the Level 3 Extended Certificate in IT in first year, a decision will be made regarding the progression to Level 3 Diploma.

This course will be assessed by 3 externally set practical exams and 5 units of internally assessed coursework.
English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
This course is run Mon-Fri at 9am-4:30pm for 34 weeks. Timetable to be confirmed at the start of term.

- Creating Systems to Manage Information
- Using social media in Business
- Programming
- Website Development
- IT Project Management
- Cyber Security and Incident Management (External Activity)
- IT Technical Support
Pearson BTEC
After completing the course there is opportunity to complete an HNC in computing as well as other qualifications such as Microsoft and Cisco courses. In addition you will be encouraged to apply to University for undergraduate study in a related discipline.
