What’s it all about?

This course is for people looking to progress from Level 2 hairdressing or barbering course or are a fully qualified stylist wishing to move onto the next level.

A Level 2 qualification within hairdressing or the equivalent industry experience and prior knowledge is required for this course.

This qualification covers a wide range of skills and knowledge required for working within the hairdressing industry, and work will be assessed through practical and theory assessment.

- Perming Hair to Create a variety of Looks
- Colouring Hair to Create a Variety of Looks
- Hair Colour Correction
- Creative Hairdressing Design Skills

English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your career and progress to your dream destination. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/or English, we will support you to improve your skills.

Structured work placements are a necessary part of the course and must be completed on a day outside your timetable. This practical based training gives you the ideal preparation for gaining employment within the industry or taking on further specialist study.

The duration of the qualification is one year, starting in September until the end of June. Timetables will be given out at induction stage of the course.

This Level 3 hairdressing aims to provide you with a range of specialist practical skills and technical knowledge which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the hairdressing industry.

We highly recommend you hold a Level 2 qualification in hairdressing or have equivalent industry experience before enrolling on this course.
