What’s it all about?

The T Level Foundation focuses on core scientific and healthcare knowledge combined with specialised practical experience. The course covers the National Technical Outcomes in health and science whilst studying a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Working in Healthcare, a sound base to progress to the T Level in Health.

This qualification is designed in consultation with healthcare professionals to ensure relevance and rigour. It merges classroom learning with practical application, making it a dynamic choice for young people eager to make an immediate impact in healthcare.

You will need 3 GCSE's at grade 4-9 including English, Maths and ideally a science based GCSE. You will also need an enhanced DBS check to enable you to attend placement (we fund this for you).

You will engage in the healthcare environment, gaining invaluable hands-on experience across various settings and from industry experts. These placements are tailored to deepen your understanding and skills in real-world scenarios, enabling you to connect with professionals and patients alike and give you an insight into the industry.

Our course is designed with strong industry links that bridge the gap between education and the professional world, ensuring that you are industry-ready upon graduation. We partner with leading healthcare organizations and these partnerships provide an enriching curriculum that's directly informed by the latest in healthcare advancements and workforce needs. Your weekly schedule will be full-time, over 3 – 4 days per week, including industry placements. This will allow you to not only build your academic knowledge but also sharpen your practical skills, and ensure you are well-prepared for next steps.

The T Level Foundation in Health & Science is designed to launch your career in healthcare with a robust blend of classroom learning and extensive real-world experience. Perfect for post-GCSE students passionate about making a meaningful impact in health and science, but not quite ready for the T-Level, the course provides a solid foundation to build on and successfully progress.

You will follow the National Technical Outcomes (NTO’s) whilst studying a level 2 certificate;
NTO’s:
1. Apply knowledge and understanding of scientific theories, concepts and principles to health and science contexts
2. Provide person-centred care to support the health and well-being of individuals
3. Analyse information and data to highlight health and science issues

What’s next?

Upon completing this course, you’ll be fully equipped to step into our T-Level in Health (Adult Nursing) programme.
