What’s it all about?

This qualification will suit learners who are not yet employed or who are looking to enter the industry post main stream education. The structure of the qualification is designed to give learners breadth of knowledge and understanding across the onsite industry but also to equip them with necessary occupational and core skills to enter the industry. This qualification is designed to support fair access and enables learners to manage and improve their own performance.

You will need 5 GCSE's at grade 4-9 including Maths and English.

Teaching will be both classroom and workshop based with assessments as follows:

Core - knowledge tests are externally assessed
Core - employer-set project is externally assessed
Occupational specialisms are internally set and externally moderated

You will require an understanding of Math's and English and should achieve a minimum of grade 4 at GCSE.

You will complete a mandatory industry placement during your two years of study. The placement will be around 45 days where you will be given the opportunity to work with an employer and develop career ready skills whilst you study.

You will complete a minimum of 45 days industry placement and participate in employer set projects.

This is a full-time course delivered over 2 years, including an industry placement.

This qualification is aimed at learners aged 16-19-years old who wish to work within the Building Services Engineering Industry. Currently available in England only.

A learner who completes this qualification is well placed to develop to full occupational competence with the proper support and training.

To achieve the T Level in Onsite Construction, learners must achieve the two core components of the technical qualification and an occupational specialism, plus a 45 Day industrial placement.

As well as the onsite construction component, your can choose from one of our occupational specialism components, such as:

- Bricklaying Level 3
- Carpentry and Joinery Level 3

What’s next?

This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the onsite industry, which will prepare learners to enter the industry through employment or as an apprentice. Furthermore, the completion of this qualification gives learners the opportunity to progress to higher education courses and training.
