Study a range of topics such as child development, safeguarding and special educational needs, as well as the role of families and support agencies. You will specialise in Early Years Education, putting everything you learn into practice with a substantial industry placement with a school or nursery, giving you invaluable experience.
To work in this sector, you need to be friendly, patient and enthusiastic and have a warm and inspiring attitude that children will respond to and feel nurtured and happy. You will need to be able to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.
You will study this subject full-time at Ashington Campus and will have access to our simulated learning space which will provide fantastic new facilities and hands on learning opportunities.
