Zoo entry prices

£8.50

FREE (please provide proof of role - see below).

Carers must be accompanied by one full paying adult or child for free entry to apply.

Proof may include one of the following:

  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Letter on headed paper from a care home
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Access card/ Max card/blue badge (photo ID section  - this can be used if you are caring for the person whose name is on the blue badge)

Zoo annual membership

  1. Please show your pass when you arrive at the admission kiosk, along with either a debit card or driving licence with the same name as shown on your pass. 
  2. Northumberland College Zoo reserves the right to request proof of age to ensure the correct pass type is purchased.
  3. A valid annual pass must be physically shown in order to enter Northumberland College Zoo. Photocopies or photos of cards will not be accepted for entry.
  4. Any annual pass found to be used fraudulently will be confiscated.
  5. Any lost, defaced or spoiled passes must be replaced at a cost to the zoo passholder.
  6. Lost or replacement annual passes are charged a non-refundable fee per pass to cover additional administration and processing costs for a replacement. There will be a £4.50 fee for replacement cards.
  7. Annual passes cannot be cancelled or transferred and any outstanding validity cannot be refunded. Equally, any outstanding validity on the annual pass cannot be transferred to another person.
  8. An annual pass is valid for as many visits as required from date of processing for one year during normal opening hours and subject to the standard terms and conditions of entry. Please click here for zoo opening times/dates. 
  9. Annual pass entry does not include pre-bookable or special events.
  10. Northumberland College Zoo operates a zero-tolerance policy with physical or verbal threats towards its staff or physical damage to its facilities and property. Any Passholders behaving inappropriately will be denied access or told to leave the park immediately.
  11. Visitors with disability who have purchased an Annual Pass are permitted to bring a carer to enter with them free of charge during a visit. Please be advised this is free for only 1 assistant and evidence of being a carer should be shown i.e., DLA/PIP Letter or access card.
  12. Personal assistants/Carers are admitted supporting the guest named on the Annual Pass with their visit. A personal assistant may not use a guest with their annual pass without the guest being present.

Refund Policy

Please read the important information below which details our current refund policy:

  1. If you would like to swap your dates, , please head to the confirmation email. Tickets can be changed up to 48 hours before the date booked for either a new date or voucher to be used when you decide when to come.
  2. If you need a refund, you can access the refund up to 7 days before the ticket is due to be used. After this time, you may swap the dates up to 2 days before admission.
  3. If you book an animal experience, you can swap your dates up to 2 days before or get a refund up to 7 days before the experience.
  4. If you have booked a Keeper for the Day experience, please contact the zoo on zoo@northumberland.ac.uk to swap dates or get a refund.
  5. If Northumberland College or Northumberland College Zoo is forced to close, we will offer full refunds.  The decision on refunding will be taken 2 weeks prior to the event or activity. Tickets will only be refunded two weeks prior to the date booked.
  6. If the college needs to force a closure at short notice, we will make every attempt to contact those affected within a reasonable time period. We reserve the right to close at any time if necessary.
