Students will be taught by experienced lecturers, who all have subject specialisms and industry experience across the sport sector.

Sessions will include seminars, workshops and practicals so that students can gain the knowledge, skills and experiences needed in this vibrant sector.

Students will be in smaller class sizes than the usual university class size - this is to enable a widening of access and support, which we feel is important for people entering into Higher Education for the first time.

Assessment will be from assignments for each of the 8 units. These assignments will be a mixture of practicals, observations, reports and presentations.

This course has been strategically put together with support from employers and previous students to create a pathway that enables students to advance into a number of different careers in sport coaching and sports and exercise science.

Our strong partnerships with employers is a unique selling point, as these partners are involved in course design and delivery, providing real-life approaches to assessments. For example, live briefs, masterclasses, being on presentation panels, etc.

This course is mapped to the occupational standards for Community Sports Coaching and therefore gives our students the exact knowledge, skills and experiences required for successful careers in the sector.
