I am currently studying T-Level Early Years and Education and I am now in my second year specialising in Early Years Educator.

I’d say the best thing about studying at Northumberland College would have to be because I was unsure of the course I wanted to do, and after choosing to study at Northumberland College and visiting employer placements, I got a view on supporting children to learn, which I’m able to do through the college.
My lecturers and course tutors have helped me to understand new topics at the right pace and showed care and understanding for me as a student.

I am now employed by my placement setting and continue to attend college working towards completing the subject specialism this year with a view to staying at Northumberland to study level 4 and continue to build my experience in forest school.
It has given me new ambitions as I didn’t know much about outdoor education. Having the opportunity to learn in the classroom and then visit an outdoor nursery with the class inspired me to change placement and become more interested in the outdoor learning environment.
Maths and English are everywhere! They are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and to progress to your dream career. A GCSE Maths and English qualification could be the difference between being accepted onto a university course or getting a job promotion.
