What’s it all about?

This fully funded course is ideal if you are looking to gain employment within the warehousing, storage and logistics industry. You will achieve the skills and qualifications that employers are looking for within the sectors.

Enrol onto our fully funded warehousing and storage that includes an accredited counterbalance forklift truck operators' certificate.

There are no formal entry requirements, however, individuals that are claiming benefits may want to discuss this course with their Jobcentre Plus work coach, who can arrange a referral and pay travel expenses.

It is expected that individuals can read and write at the appropriate level.

The course is comprised of a mixture of externally and internally set assessments. Your progress will be assessed at regular intervals for each subject using classroom and practical assignments.

The counterbalance forklift element of the course will be assessed by a theory exam and a practical assessment.

This programme runs over 10-15 days, depending on your experience.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued with an NPORS Counterbalance Forklift Truck Trained Operator's certificate and card and will be registered onto the NPORS operator database.

You will also achieve Level 1 in Occupational studies in the workplace.

This course is delivered over 10-15 consecutive days, depending upon current level of experience.

09:30 - 15:30 each day.

The aim of this course is to allow you to achieve the qualifications needed to work within the warehousing, storage and logistics industry. You will receive an NPORS Counterbalance FLT licence upon completion of the programme.

Modules include for the NPORS Counterbalance Forklift Truck Operator course include:
-Pre-shift checks
-Safe working loads
-Centre of gravity

You will also study a Level 1 Health and Safety Awareness and Level 1 Certificate in Occupational Studies for the Workplace.


What’s next?

Following this course, you will have the knowledge and skills to safely work in warehousing and storage, including operating a forklift truck.

You will be issued NPORS Counterbalance Forklift Truck Trained Operator’s certificate and card and will be registered onto the NPORS operator database, as well as achieving a Level 1 in Occupational studies in the workplace, which will allow you to gain employment in this industry.
