This GCSE course is a revision year, designed to support the development of skills and knowledge and prepare for the final assessment.
Following on from your offer of a place on the adult GCSE English Language course, you will undertake an assessment in the first two weeks to ensure we can find the right course for you.
There are no entry requirements to enrol on this course, however it would be beneficial if you held a grade 3/D in English Language or a Level 2 Literacy/Functional Skills qualification.

Teaching takes place one evening per week at the Ashington Campus.
Attendance is on site, although we can provide some flexibility to support you when required.
Formative assessment takes place at 5 points throughout the year.
Summative assessment consists of two separate exam papers, each being 1 hour and 45 minutes long.
All exams take place on site, over a 2 week period (May-June).
1 evening per week of class time and a recommend 3 hours of additional study time outside of college.
Classes take place between 5PM-8PM
The aim of the course is to support those students wishing to further their personal development, prepare for future employment or secure a university placement.
