You will complete a training program in each welding process then complete a series of weld tests linked to industry standards.
You will also be required to answer underpinning knowledge questions U.P.K.

The aim of the course is to develop skills and knowledge in welding to allow you to progress to career in industry.
You will study a several modules when studying this course including:
- Working safely in an engineering environment
- Carrying out engineering activities efficiently and effectively
- Using and communicating technical information
- Preparing and using manual metal arc welding equipment
- Preparing and using manual TIG or plasma-arc welding equipment
- Preparing and using semi-automatic MIG, MAG and flux cored arc welding equipment
Upon completing this course, students are excellently positioned for both further study and immediate employment.
