Designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to excel in health science and medical care professions, our academic pathway is a career-focused programme based at our Ashington campus.
The mix of academic A-Level courses you will study as part of the pathway will bridge scientific knowledge and real-world healthcare understanding. You'll be supported by expert tutors to help you develop analytical and practical skills that are essential for this rapidly evolving sector.

To apply for the Health Sciences Academic Pathway, choose the three options you wish to study from the subjects offered.
Select one of your chosen subjects and click on the Apply button. You'll be taken to an application form, which will allow to choose the second and third subjects you want to study as part of the pathway.
Once you've selected these from the drop-down menu, complete the rest of the application and submit the form. Our Admissions team will contact you shortly once your application has been processed.
To enrol onto our Health and Sciences Academic Pathway, you will require 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including:
*Science grades can include either Combined Science, or Biology and one other Science subject (e.g. Chemistry or Physics).
