Education Partnership North East has announced a new name for its LGBTQ+ group, voted for by students across the college group.
‘True Colours’ was chosen as students felt it was the most appropriate and representative name for the group and its bright future.
The college group and youth work team work hard to promote an inclusive culture where creative ideas can flourish. All gender identities and sexualities are welcome, the group is open to new members and offers a safe and confidential space with activities, themes and much more to get involved in along with guest speakers and visits.
Youth Worker, Stephen Day, said:
“We’d like to thank our brilliant students for coming up with a new name for our LGBTQ+ Group. We strongly believe that the group offers an inclusive and safe environment for our students and staff where everyone feels valued and able to be themselves.”
