McKenna Wade, a Level 3 Diploma in Sport student, recently won the European World Kickboxing Organisation champion belt at The Homeshow 11.
McKenna won her bout via a split decision against Emerline Thomas, a French international fighter.
McKenna is hoping to be fighting in a rematch in April 2020.
George Bramley, Sports Lecturer at the college, said: “McKenna’s dedication to her training and nutrition has highlighted her excellent levels of motivation and discipline. This result proves hard work does pay off!”
McKenna said: “Even though I won the fight, I am still learning and keen to keep developing my skills.”
