Northumberland Lecturer, John Guy forms one half of the popular duo that presents the BBC Radio Newcastle gardening show, Garden Mania.
Garden Mania is a weekly garden phone in radio show hosted by John and Marian Foster and invites budding gardeners to put their questions to the horticultural experts.
Students from Northumberland College are often invited into the studio to see how the station works and how the show is produced and to learn more about the production of the radio segment.
John, who has presented the popular BBC show for 10 years and is also Curriculum Team Leader (Land and Environment) at Northumberland College, said: “I love presenting Garden Mania. It’s great to be able to help people better understand their gardens and help raise the profile of horticulture as a career in journalism.”
